Waterproof performance of polyurethane cold storage panels

The polyurethane cold storage panel uses lightweight polyurethane as the internal material of the cold storage panel.

The advantage of polyurethane is its excellent thermal insulation performance. The exterior of the polyurethane refrigeration plate is composed of SII, PVC color steel plate, and stainless steel plate.

The advantage of doing so is that it can prevent the temperature from spreading inside the cold storage plate due to the large temperature difference between the inside and outside, thereby making the cold storage more energy-efficient and improving its working efficiency.

1. Hard polyurethane has low thermal conductivity and good thermal performance. When the density of rigid polyurethane is 35-40kg/m3, the thermal conductivity is only 0.018g-0.023 w/(mk), which is about half of EPS and the lowest thermal conductivity among all insulation materials currently available.

2. Polyurethane cold storage board is moisture-proof and waterproof. The closed cell rate of rigid polyurethane is over 90%, which belongs to hydrophobic materials. It will not increase thermal conductivity due to moisture absorption, and the wall will not leak water.

3. Polyurethane cold storage board is fire-resistant, flame-retardant, and heat-resistant. After adding flame retardants, polyurethane is a flame-retardant self extinguishing material with a softening point of over 250, which only decomposes at higher temperatures.

In addition, when polyurethane burns, it will form ash on its foam surface, which helps to isolate the foam below. It can effectively prevent the spread of fire. Moreover, polyurethane does not produce harmful gases at high temperatures.
