Precautions for on-site storage of color steel sandwich panels

Color steel sandwich panels, as an essential building material in today's architecture, are also a significant expense. Therefore, we need to be careful when storing on site.

Let's introduce the precautions for on-site storage of color steel sandwich panels.

1. Color steel sandwich panels should be stored on sleepers or other cushion blocks, and steel plates should not directly contact the ground. If placed outdoors, it must be completely covered with waterproof cloth, especially aluminum zinc steel plate. The steel plate between the plates will turn black if water enters, so it must be covered with waterproof cloth. If there is water or mist between the steel plates, they must be separated, the surface of the steel plates must be wiped dry with a clean soft cloth, and placed in a ventilated area to dry them.

2. The stacking area of color steel sandwich panels should be away from other exposed steel materials, such as steel bars, to prevent rust from falling onto the color steel plates and adhering to them, which is difficult to remove, causing rust spots and penetrating the steel plates.

3. When stacking color steel sandwich panels repeatedly, no more than four boxes should be stacked at a time, and other heavy objects should not be placed on the panels. It is strictly prohibited to put people on or step on them. The daylighting board should be stored separately, and it is strictly prohibited to place items such as steel plates.

4. Insulation cotton and steel wire mesh should be placed in temporary sheds. When there are no conditions, a cushion layer must be placed on the ground to prevent direct contact between the insulation cotton and the steel wire mesh, and to prevent moisture. The upper and surrounding areas must be covered with waterproof cloth.

Before installation, when transporting the steel plate to the roof for temporary placement, it must be placed as close to the roof as possible. It is strictly prohibited to place it on the installed steel plate to prevent gravity from concentrating and crushing the steel plate. The steel plates that were not installed on the roof that day should be stacked in bundles to prevent them from being blown away by strong winds.

6. Screws, sealant and other parts must be placed in the warehouse to prevent loss.
